Valves for LNG & Cryogenic ServiceKyiv

Kyiv is Ukraine's industrial capital and command centre for Ukrtransnafta (30,000 km oil pipeline network, historically Europe's largest transit corridor) and Naftogaz's underground gas storage system (the world's largest, 32 BCM capacity at peak); ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih — one of Europe's largest integrated steelworks at 6 million TPA — and the Dnieper industrial axis collectively source ASME B16.34 gate valves, NACE-rated API 6D pipeline ball valves, and high-pressure globe valves for blast furnace and BOF converter service, while Kyiv's extensive district heating grid (serving 3+ million residents) and water utility require ASME Class 150–300 butterfly valves and SS 316 ball valves for utility systems.

Extended-bonnet ball, gate, and globe valves for LNG, liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, and other cryogenic service — low-temperature impact tested materials.

Critical Valve Requirements

Charpy V-notch impact testing at design temperature (−46°C to −196°C) per ASTM A370
Extended bonnet design to maintain stem packing above −20°C minimum
Cryogenic testing per BS 6364: gas bubble leak test at operating temperature
Materials: ASTM A350 LF2 (forged) or A351 CF8M/CF3M (cast) — not A216 WCB
Fire-safe design (API 607) for LNG and flammable cryogenic fluids
Full-bore design where pigging or slug control is required
Seat material rated for cryogenic temperature — PTFE (to −200°C) or PEEK

FAQ — LNG & Cryogenic Service Valves in Kyiv

Do you supply lng & cryogenic service valves in Kyiv?
Yes. Vajra Industrial Solutions supplies Cryogenic Ball Valve (Extended Bonnet), Cryogenic Gate Valve (Extended Bonnet), Cryogenic Globe Valve (Extended Bonnet), Cryogenic Check Valve for lng & cryogenic service applications in Kyiv, Kyiv City. Kyiv is Ukraine's industrial capital and command centre for Ukrtransnafta (30,000 km oil pipeline network, historically Europe's largest transit corridor) and Naftogaz's underground gas storage system (the world's largest, 32 BCM capacity at peak); ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih — one of Europe's largest integrated steelworks at 6 million TPA — and the Dnieper industrial axis collectively source ASME B16.34 gate valves, NACE-rated API 6D pipeline ball valves, and high-pressure globe valves for blast furnace and BOF converter service, while Kyiv's extensive district heating grid (serving 3+ million residents) and water utility require ASME Class 150–300 butterfly valves and SS 316 ball valves for utility systems. We offer export documentation and delivery to Kyiv in 7–14 business days with full documentation and third-party inspection.
What certifications are required for lng & cryogenic service valves in Kyiv?
For lng & cryogenic service in Kyiv, the applicable standards are: BS 6364 (Cryogenic valves), ASME B16.34 Annex F, API 6D, EN 13942, ASTM A350 LF2 / LF3, ASTM A182 F316L, MSS SP-134. All valves are supplied with full documentation including material test reports (EN 10204 3.1/3.2), pressure test certificates, and dimensional inspection reports. Third-party inspection (TPI) by EIL, Bureau Veritas, Lloyd's Register, or the client's nominated inspector can be arranged.
What is the delivery time for lng & cryogenic service valves to Kyiv?
Standard stock sizes: export documentation and delivery to Kyiv in 7–14 business days. Custom sizes and special materials (Duplex, Hastelloy, P91): 4–8 weeks manufacturing lead time. Express dispatch available for urgent site requirements. Contact us at +91-9979774557 or sales@vajravyuh.com with your specification and required delivery date.
What is an extended bonnet on a cryogenic valve?
An extended bonnet (also called a top-entry or long-bonnet valve) has an elongated bonnet section that moves the stem packing away from the extremely cold process fluid. This prevents the packing material from being exposed to cryogenic temperature (where it would lose elasticity and leak), and prevents atmospheric moisture from freezing around the packing gland. The extension length is calculated based on the process temperature and the acceptable minimum packing temperature.
What ASTM material is used for cryogenic valves?
For LNG (−162°C) and liquid nitrogen (−196°C): ASTM A351 CF8M or CF3M (cast SS 316/316L) and ASTM A182 F316L (forged). For liquid CO₂ and −46°C service: ASTM A350 LF2 (forged low-temperature carbon steel), Charpy impact tested at −46°C. Standard A216 WCB carbon steel must never be used in cryogenic service below −29°C.
