The blade-gate design allows the blade to cut through the fibre mat and seat against a rubber seat liner, providing reliable on/off isolation. Full-bore design prevents fibre plug formation in the valve body. Pinch valves are also widely used for lower-pressure stock lines (PN 6/10) and offer excellent resistance to fibre abrasion (no internal metal in the flow path). White liquor (NaOH + Na₂S, pH 13–14): SS 316L minimum; Duplex preferred.
