Valve Automation Accessories & Instrumentation
The decision layer behind the accessories catalog: what each device does, when it is actually required, which actuation type and valve category it serves, and which standard governs it — so you specify the right accessory once, not by trial and error.
Why this differs from the product catalog
The accessories product pages sell the part. This reference answers the engineering question first: is this device even required for your service, which actuation type and valve category does it pair with, and what standard governs the interface — then routes you to the right product and RFQ.
Limit Switch Box
Sends a discrete open/closed position signal from an actuated valve back to the control room, DCS, PLC or ESD system, and gives local operators a visual position indication without inspecting the valve directly.
Solenoid Valve
Acts as the electrically-operated pilot that commands a pneumatic actuator: it routes or vents instrument air to the actuator ports in response to a signal from the DCS, PLC or ESD system.
Valve Positioner
Provides closed-loop control that drives a pneumatic actuator to the exact stem or disc position commanded by the control system, overcoming friction, backpressure and supply-air variation that would otherwise cause the valve to settle off-setpoint.
Manual Gear Operator (Gearbox)
Gives a single operator the mechanical advantage to manually open or close large-bore or high-pressure valves that would otherwise need impractically high handwheel force.
Handwheel Override for Actuators
Lets an operator manually open or close an automated valve when instrument air or electrical power is unavailable, without removing the actuator.
