PETRONAS RAPID Pengerang - Valve Requirements
RAPID (Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development) at Pengerang, Johor, is one of the world's largest greenfield refinery-petrochemical integrated complexes - 300,000 bpd refinery + 3.3 million tonnes/year downstream petrochemicals, operated by PETRONAS/Saudi Aramco JV. RAPID uses: API 6D trunnion ball valves for crude pipeline isolation; triple-offset butterfly valves for large-bore process service; API 600 gate valves for refinery process units; NACE MR0175 valves for sour crude fractions; and full API 607 fire-safe certifications for hydrocarbon service.
