IBR (Indian Boiler Regulations, 1950) is the regulatory framework for boilers and steam vessels under the Indian Boilers Act. All valves on steam lines with pressure above 3.5 kg/cm² (0.35 MPa) and temperature above 99°C require IBR certification.
