Industrial Valves for Cement & Mining
Abrasion-Resistant Valves for Raw Meal, Slurry and Ore Handling
Cement and mining processes involve highly abrasive media — raw limestone powder, coal dust, cement slurries, ore pulp, and tailings — that rapidly erode conventional valves. Vajra supplies abrasion-resistant knife gate valves, pinch valves, and ceramic-lined or rubber-lined butterfly valves engineered for long service life in these demanding applications.
Key Cement & Mining Applications
We supply application-specific valve solutions for each segment of the cement & mining industry.
Cement Raw Meal & Kiln Feed
Knife gate valves for raw meal silos, kiln feed systems, and coal dosing. SS316 or hardened wear-plate gate material for abrasion resistance. Pressurized packing gland to prevent fine powder ingress. Pneumatic actuation for remote operation in kiln feed control.
Ore & Concentrate Slurry
Pinch valves for iron ore, copper concentrate, and gold tailings slurry service. Natural rubber sleeve isolates the slurry from the valve body — zero internal dead volume. High cycle life (>100,000 cycles) in abrasive slurry. Available up to DN400 (16").
Cooling Water & Process Water
Rubber-seated butterfly valves and gate valves for cooling tower circuits, mine dewatering, and process water supply. Ductile iron body with epoxy or rubber lining for corrosion resistance in mine water with low pH and dissolved minerals.
Dust & Dry Powder Handling
Diaphragm valves and knife gate valves for cement dust, fly ash, and silica powder systems. Air-tight construction prevents dust leakage. Body purge connections available to clear trapped powder from valve cavity.
High-Pressure Hydraulic Mining
High-pressure gate valves and ball valves for hydraulic mining, jet cutting, and high-pressure washing systems. Stainless steel or chrome-moly alloy construction for pressures up to 700 bar.
