Frequently Asked Questions - Power Valves

What materials are used for main steam valves above 540°C?+
For steam above 540°C, A217 WC9 (cast) or A182 F22 (forged) are standard up to 595°C. Above 595°C, Grade 91 (A182 F91 forged or A217 C12A cast) is required for creep resistance.
Do your power plant valves comply with IBR?+
Yes. All boiler and steam valves for Indian power plants are supplied with IBR certification from the Chief Inspector of Boilers, with full documentation package.
