Overview - ISO 17292
ISO 17292 is the international equivalent of API 6D for ball valves, widely required on Asian and Middle East tenders alongside or instead of API 6D - especially for projects outside North America.
Scope
ISO 17292 covers the design, materials, dimensions, testing, inspection, and marking of metal full-bore and reduced-bore ball valves for use in petroleum, petrochemical, and allied industries. It covers flanged, butt-weld, and threaded end connections in sizes DN 8 to DN 1200 and pressure classes PN 2.5 to PN 420 (Class 150 to Class 2500 equivalent). It is closely harmonised with API 6D and API 608.
