Suitable Services

Boiler feed pump discharge block and check valves in power plants (350-450°C)

Crude column overhead and HVGO circuit isolation valves in atmospheric distillation units

Hydroprocessing unit valve bodies in hydrogen-rich environments at moderate temperatures

High-temperature steam valves where carbon steel WCB is temperature-limited

Refinery hot oil service gate and globe valves at 400-540°C

Not Suitable For

Nelson curve hydrogen attack limits - F11 allows up to 370°C/28 bar H2 partial pressure per API 941

Service above 540°C - use A182 F22 (2.25Cr-1Mo) or F91 (9Cr-1Mo-V)

Sour service - hardness must comply with NACE MR0175 22 HRC maximum (verify heat treatment)

Cryogenic service below -29°C - use A182 F304L or A352 LCB

Valve Body Applications

Gate valve bodies for boiler feed pump discharge lines at 350-450°C

Globe valve bodies in refinery hot oil service at 400-540°C

Check valve bodies on crude column overhead circuits

Ball valve bodies in hydroprocessing H2-rich moderate temperature service

Trim Applications

Gate valve wedge overlaid with 13Cr for high-temperature wear resistance

Globe valve seat and disc with Stellite 6 overlay for erosion service
