Suitable Services

Natural gas pipeline block valves — compressor station isolation in cold climates

LPG / propane / butane storage terminals — tank outlet isolation valves

Nitrogen and CO₂ storage valve bodies — food-grade gas storage

Ethylene and propylene service at moderate sub-zero temperatures

Not Suitable For

Service below −46°C — use LCC (Charpy to −101°C) or stainless CF3M, A352 LCN for colder

High-temperature above +343°C — use WCB or alloy steel

H₂S sour service without NACE compliance — risk of sulfide stress cracking

Valve Body Applications

Natural gas transmission mainline block valve bodies

LPG storage and terminal isolation valve bodies

Propane/butane storage valve bodies (bulk tanks)

Cryogenic nitrogen service (−46°C) valve bodies

Trim Applications

Gate valve trim for low-temperature natural gas service

Ball valve body end caps and bonnets in LPG service
