High-temperature service above +315°C - 475°C embrittlement limits high-temp use
Strongly reducing acid service - Duplex SS is not as corrosion-resistant as Hastelloy C-276 in HCl
Cryogenic service below −46°C - use Super Austenitic or 6Mo steels
