Not Suitable For
High-temperature service above +315°C — 475°C embrittlement limits high-temp use
Strongly reducing acid service — Duplex SS is not as corrosion-resistant as Hastelloy C-276 in HCl
Cryogenic service below −46°C — use Super Austenitic or 6Mo steels
