Strong sulphuric acid (>40%) — use Hastelloy C276
Hydrochloric acid (any concentration) — use Hastelloy C276

High-chloride seawater in crevice zones (use duplex or super duplex)
Temperatures between 450°C–850°C (sensitisation zone — use CF3M/316L)
