Propane is a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) component used for domestic and industrial heating, as an industrial fuel, as a petrochemical feedstock (propane dehydrogenation to propylene), and as an aerosol propellant. At ambient temperature, propane exists as a liquid under moderate pressure (approximately 8.5 barg at 20°C). It is handled in bulk storage spheres, tankers, and pipelines in the oil and gas, petrochemical, and LPG distribution industries. Key valve requirements: fire-safe design, full-bore isolation, ESD capability, and NFPA 58/OISD-116 compliance.

- Compatible with PTFE and Viton seals; NBR also acceptable for propane
